My dad says that from the moment I was born I have been, in his words, "a little left of center." He chalks it up to being the only lefty on either side of my family in recent memory. Whatever the reason, I have found that I have always been contrary to ordinary. That doesn't mean that my life is fabulous, or that I have some grand wisdom to impart. It simply means that I have found that, for me, happiness isn't found on the well traveled road...instead I often find peace hacking through the underbrush, making my own path! I have a ton of interests, very few of which I am very good at, but I find joy in the learning. And hopefully I will be able to learn a few things from the people who read what I write...if anyone actually reads this stuff!
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then, it stopped, and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
